Meat distribution during Eid al-Adha
Families in the communities we serve rarely have access to meat outside of Qurbani season. Your contribution helps ensure a dignified distribution during Eid al-Adha.
Qurbani (also known as Udhiyah) is the ritual sacrifice performed by Muslims during Eid al-Adha, commemorating the Prophet Ibrahim's (peace be upon him) willingness to sacrifice for the sake of Allah. The meat is distributed, with a significant portion given to those in need.
Where requested, Al Karam coordinates the sacrifice (or approved local processing) and distribution of meat to registered families, following locally applicable guidelines and timing for Eid al-Adha.
Rules on sharing a Qurbani animal among multiple people vary by school of thought and local practice. Please consult a qualified scholar regarding what applies to you, and contact our team for current share pricing and availability.
