UgandaFunding NeededNeeds Overseas Funding
The Need
The village currently relies on a distant, seasonal water source that frequently runs dry and is not tested for safety, contributing to preventable waterborne illness, particularly among children.
Our Proposed Solution
A borehole well with a hand pump and community-managed maintenance committee, including hygiene education sessions delivered alongside installation.
Beneficiaries
Village residents gaining access to the new well
Expected Impact
- Reliable access to safe drinking water year-round
- Reduced time burden, particularly for women and girls who collect water
- Lower incidence of preventable waterborne illness
